about me

ok so this is gonna be a lot, I apologize in advance but also not really, because i'm a person with a shitload of interests, if you aint interested in talking to me after reading all this I dont even wanna talk to ya lol, we wont vibe.

anyway, hi! im maxine, 20, from Germany . I do a lot of things (maybe too many), but heres the basics if you're curious:

the work stuff, or "what do you even do for a living??"

I work in enterprise backend development, specifically the government sector (boo fed!!) my activites are mostly Java at the moment but I also have experience with C#, Python, HTML and whatever else needed doing to make things actually work. I like building things, but i also enjoy destroying things, I'll get to what I mean next but I also genuinely enjoy the part where you tidy up code, fix what didnt quite hold together, keep servers and infrastructure stable so nothing randomly explodes at 3am etc

also, for what its worth, I like terminals more, I feel like I have a more efficient workflow when I use a terminal as to when I dont use one, just typing and using my keyboard feels much nicer to me, just a fun fact about me I guess!

I run linux btw, haha, xddd, wow, joke of the century. although not primarily, and only on the side when i need it (which is surprisingly more often than you'd think)

cybersecurity

a hobby im kind of always into, but not always actively executing, yet although, generally speaking, I mostly mess with shit like routers (and other fancy home gear), IoT devices (Industrial Equipment), firmware stuff and random infrastructure things, i think that tech is by far the most interesting, as it tends to be inaccessible, n yeah, fuck shit up. honestly its probably where the "i like building things but also breaking things" part comes from, I enjoy building our infrastructure, as much as I wanna expose it for how shitty it truly is

i also somehow picked up a weird amount of knowledge about physical security stuff too, shit like, elevators, locks, doors, keys, access systems, whatever else i just think all that stuff is interesting, I dont tend to poke at it ever, but I do look at and research it as much as I can, you never know when you need it, plus its good for defense

photography

one of my main hobbies honestly, I usually shoot street and some urban stuff, although have shot random other subjects too, whatever works and looks good yknow? often black and white because I love how that shit plays with contrast and texture, especially with harsher grains, and more gritty textures, making it seem like im shooting on some shitty film from the 90s but I shoot color too when it feels right. In terms of my compositions, I like noticing bits of the city that most people walk right past if that makes any sense, side streets, tunnels, yada yada

if you ask me about my photos I will happily show you the ones I like, feel free to ask me if you spot me chatting somewhere and wanna see them, I have a lot of photos and I like sharing them with people who are interested

gaming

yes. a lot of it, honestly less so nowadays, mainly because I'm an adult, and have a job, but I still play a lot of games, and have a lot of fun doing so no im not sharing my steam hours thats between me and my poor sleep schedule. I play whatever is fun, no genre loyalty, but I do like playing shooters a lot, ULTRAKILL, Tarkov, Marathon, etc, however I've recently been playing quite a lot of Forza too! half-life is probably my favorite game of all time tho, and counter-strike has eaten more of my life than id like to admit although the game that will forever be in my heart, is Garry's Mod

3d modeling

another hobby I once picked up and no longer actively do but am not opposed to picking back up I think making some of my own models for idk the 140 hours or so of experience I got was really cool, I made nothing super duper fancy but I made things myself it was fun, not much else that I can say about it, here's a photo!

electronics and diy

I havent had a chance to buy a 3d printer or invest in a decent amount of parts yet but electronics and devices like raspberry pis interest me, theyre cool and can be used for so many diy things eh good skill to have, I also have tried my hand at soldering, I do own a hobbyist PSU , breadboards, all that shtick, just don't see it as a main hobby :P

other stuff

I like hiking every once in a while, the nature is nice, and I've grown to like the summer more i also hang out with friends a lot, because I consider my friends to be some of the most important people in my life i also smoke weed?

im a pretty outgoing person and humor is one of my main ways of being friendly with people, sometimes I misjudge and a joke goes a bit too far but I promise im friendly and will adjust :)
